Happy Birthday to Me!

My birthday was last week!

Me & Dad & Mom & the boys went to breakfast
with Grandma and Grandpa Cook.

I put my new sunglasses on Bryce.
Doesn't he look cool?

After breakfast we went to The Bear Mill
(similar to Build-A-Bear)

I decided to get two small animals instead of one large one.
I made "Spot," a leopard, and "Floppy," a golden retriever.


It was a wonderful birthday!

Bear

Our next door neighbors have a pug named Bear. I love him. He is so funny!! He grunts and snorts and chases me around our yard (Dad doesn't like him for all these reasons).

The other night the boys were outside playing baseball. I went next door and played with Bear. He will run catch the ball if I throw it. And he likes to chase shadows on the sidewalk.

I love him. He's almost as fun as Bryce.

Pancakes, Sausage & Ice Cream, Oh my!

Mom took us to McDonald's this morning for breakfast. Last night we had to have a babysitter. We all hate babysitters, so Mom said if we went to bed on time and she got a good report from the sitter, she would take us to the Playplace in the morning. I was so good! I went straight to bed before the sitter even got here! (Spencer didn't though, he finally fell asleep on the couch at 9:30pm. He's really lucky I'm good...)


As it turns out, we were at the playland for so long that we got breakfast when we first got there, and then we got ice cream (on the lunch menu) right before we left! Ice cream is best all over your face!

I like the playland. Spencer and I could stay there for hours. Mom has this thing about germs though. She makes us put on antibacterial gel everytime we go in or come out of the equipment. At some point after we'd all put gel on at least 10 times, Carter said, "Why don't I just put gel all over my whole body!?" Mom just laughed and said, "Hey, that's a good idea!"

Cook Week

Last week, me, mom, and the boys, went with Grandma and Grandpa to the Cook family reunion. Aside from meeting lots of people I never knew I was related to, we did lots of fun things as a family. We went to dinner one night at Sadie and McKenna's house. They have a great playroom -- Spencer and I could have stayed forever.


Grandma also took us to a giant pet store that had rabbits and snakes and kitties, oh my!


I held a baby red boa constrictor. It was cute and small. Mom asked the owner how big the snake would grow and he said up to 12 feet! I also held a cuddly kitty. She was soft and purred when I pet her.


My favorite part was when we went roller skating. We didn't get any pictures, but we had a great time! Inside the skating rink they have flashing lights and music and you skate around in circles and sometimes play games.


It took me a little while to get used to the roller skates, but then it was a blast! I definitely want to go again. Yeah for vacation!!

I like to take pictures of people. This is a self-portrait.
I've realized it's hard to hold the camera and get a good angle.
So now I mostly photograph others.

Spencer is always a willing model.
He likes to pose.

My favorite subject is Bryce.

He doesn't really pose well though,
he just kind of stares and drools.
I'm still teaching him about posture and form.
